Immersive sound

Weaving Worlds is the solo experimental music project of Selina West, founded within the sonic practice of play and Improvisational performance art.

I like to create within the flow of ephemeral time and motion, drawing from real time aliveness, and the decay in nonattachment. Many performances are created as once off immersions and are not recorded or shared again. Bringing forward the value of the fleeting present moment and how we engage with it.

Selinas main instrument is voice, which is supported with a ever-growing collection of bellow, string, key, percussive and electronic instruments.

A big part of the process is listening, it goes beyond just the listener of the music, but as an artist, listening to the sounds and how they want to interact.
